Roster moves: Redskins sign McPhee

The Redskins announced that the team has signed free agent outside linebacker Pernell McPhee. Terms were not disclosed. McPhee had been rumored to also have been considering the Atlanta Falcons.
McPhee, who is 29 years old, stands 6’3″ and weighs 269 pounds, was originally drafted out of Mississippi St. by the Baltimore Ravens in the 5th round of the 2011 NFL draft. He ran the 40 yard dash in 4.91 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times at the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine. In his career, McPhee has played in 96 games, starting 23, with 139 solo tackles and 43 assists, 31 sacks, and one interception. He most recently played for the Chicago Bears from 2015 – 2017. Last season, he had 21 total tackles and 4 sacks in 13 games, including 5 starts. His career-best 7.5 sacks came in 2014 with the Ravens. McPhee fills a hole created by the loss of former Redskin Trent Murphy and will be expected to provide much-needed depth behind starters Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith.

i just refuse to give our FO the benefit of the doubt any longer they haven’t fielded a winning team in decades, certainly not a perennial one. Why assume they are doing the smart thing now?
Well we haven’t had the same FO’s for decades and this current FO’s has fielded pretty solid teams over the last 3 years. This past year we were killed by injury.

Just don’t see any team giving up significant draft capital for him. Although he has all the talent in the world, he’s coming back from injury, is on the last year of his contract and said he won’t go on the field without a LTD (and he has also said he wants to be the highest player in the league), and is a head case. Just don’t see any team giving up any thing significant unless it had a sign and trade deal in place with OBJ (and that is tough because of his injury).
Let the Giants get stuck with him.

If your losing home grown talent in FA’s then that means your actually doing a good job drafting you can’t keep everyone. The guys we lost are replaceable with new home grown players.
The problem is this: If you AREN’T going to build through FA and your goal is to grow your team through the draft… you can’t be losing your mid to high level draftees to FA.
In some cases guys want to much money or want to go somewhere else like I said nobody we lost was all that anyway.

I have been opposed to moving up. BUT, there seem to be 3 outstanding prospect in the draft. And it now appears that 3 QB’s will go in the top 4 selections. Jets would not spend all that draft capital to get to 3 and not select a QB. Ginas need a qb, and this is there one shot at a top 2 qb. Browns will surely select on at either 1 or 4, and most likely 1. That means that either a top RB, edge rusher or CB will be available at 6. I’m just wondering what it would take to trade up to 6. Our 13 and 44 would probably not do it. But including Sua in a package might be enough.

So my 15 year old nephew when to Austria on a high school field trip. He lived with a family and went to an Austrian school for two weeks. I’m pissed because they were allowed (with school knowledge) to go to bars and drink beer and alcohol, as the legal drinking age is much younger than the US. He came home and bragged about drinking whiskey and other liquor. His mother and father seem to think this is no big deal, but I’m livid. Sure, teenagers sneak drinks here and there, but to be in a foreign country under the care of chaperones and allow this is inexcusable.

The hatred of the Jewish state is the one thing that binds all conservative Muslim countries regardless of sect. That would never, ever work. The Saudis barely work and play well with the U.S., much less Israel. They are difficult at every turn, just to be difficult. Them being seen as cooperating with Israel in attacking another Muslim country is just an impossibility.

the key is they are never seen publicly cooperating with the Israel and after the deed is done, they denounce Israel and threaten them
