Roster Moves – Tuesday, Sept 18

The Redskins announced the following roster moves today:

  • The team signed wide receivers Michael Floyd and Breshad Perriman
  • The practice squad contracts of defensive back Jeremy Reaves and wide receiver Teo Redding were terminated
  • Wide receiver Jehu Chesson and tackle Chris Durant were signed to the practice squad
  • Running back Rob Kelley has been place on injured reserve

With the signings of Floyd and Perriman and the move of Kelley to injured reserve, the Redskins now have 7 receivers and just 3 running backs on the active roster.

Floyd, 6’3″, 220 pounds, was drafted out of Notre Dame in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals.  He also spent time with the Patriots, Vikings, and Saints. Floyd has played in 89 games in his career, starting 48, and has 256 receptions for 3,859 yards and 24 touchdowns.  He ran the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds at the 2012 NFL Combine.

Perriman, 6’2″, 215 pounds, was drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.  He played his college ball at Central Florida.  In his three year career, he played in 27 games, starting 4, and has 43 receptions for 576 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He ran the 40 yard dash in 4.29 seconds at the Central Florida pro day.
