Redskins Draft Information and Schedule

The Redskins released some basic draft information on Wednesday afternoon.  The 2018 NFL draft schedule is as follows:

Where:  AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas

When:  Round 1: Thursday, April 28, 8 p.m. ET

Rounds 2 – 3: Friday, April 27, 7 p.m. ET

Rounds 4 – 7: Saturday, April 28, 12 p.m. ET

Time limits:

10 minutes per pick in round 1

7 minutes per pick in round 2

5 minutes per pick in rounds 3 – 6

4 minutes per pick in rounds 7 and for compensatory picks in all rounds

TV Broadcast: NFL Network, Fox, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes

Redskins Senior Vice President of Player Personnel Doug Williams will hold a pre-draft press conference on Tuesday, April 24, at 12 p.m. ET.  Head coach Jay Gruden is expected to be made available on all three days of the draft.

Redskins’ Draft Fest Presented by Pepsi will take place at Fed Ex Field on Saturday, April 28.  The Redskins’ first and second round picks are expected to attend, along with Alex Smith, Chris Thompson, Maurice Harris, Ziggy Hood, Dustin Hopkins, Morgan Moses, Mason Foster, Samaje Perine, and the Redskins Cheerleaders.  The event is free, and gates open at 10:30 a.m.

Draft Trivia

The Redskins have had the 13th pick on two other occasions, first in 1967 when they drafted RB Ray McDonald, and then again in 2009 when they drafted LB Brian Orkapo.

The Redskins lead the NFL in percentage of first round picks since the 2006 NFL draft to earn at least one career Pro Bowl selection, with 6 Pro Bowlers in 8 picks, or 75%.  The Minnesota Vikings are second with 69.2%.
