  • about DocuSign

we use that service for almost all of corporate dealings, we execute all types of contracts and other legally binding documents

    from Interweb:
DocuSign electronic signatures are valid and legally binding around the world. They are more enforceable than traditional handwritten signatures. DocuSign delivers the highest levels of legal enforceability and is the only eSignature provider to warrant compliance with the Federal ESIGN Act.

    • How is a pdf. generated, typed signature more enforceable than a handwritten and notarized signature?

      • the key assigned to you is unique and is extremely difficult to forge and that is what is “signed” into the pdf document

basically 2 party PKI authentication of the transaction

        • Nyyet, ya. Es ist very hard to forge, commrade.

          -Ukraine

        • But anybody can sit down and do that at that computer.

I call bullshit and Docusign marketing nonsense

          • you don’t need everyone to sign a paper copy of the documents anymore
            it’s all electronic and secure
that’s the benefit from the business perspective
what used to take days of overnighting or faxing back and forth
            now takes a few minutes

  • Green Bay Packer WR Trevor Davis checked in at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter and
was asked the usual questions about whether he was carrying any aerosol
cans, knives, weapons or explosives,” Los Angeles Airport Police
    spokesman Rob Pedregon told ESPN.

“Davis turned to his female companion and asked if she remembered to pack the
explosives”. He was then taken into custody and booked.

    From Rotoworld:

    Norris’ Mock Draft

Round 1 (13): RB Derrius Guice, LSU – The Redskins have been treading water at running back for years. I love Chris Thompson, but he’s a role player (and coming off injury). Guice is on the Thomas Rawls – Marshawn Lynch spectrum as a player, he picks up the yards blocked for him and creates on his own, especially on contact thanks to his balance. Guice was a big play threat prior to the 2017 season. A question that remains is his passing down ability. It’s not that he can’t, we just don’t know if he can.

Round 2 (44): G Austin Corbett, Nevada – I know Corbett isn’t often mentioned in the second tier of guards, but in three years we might look back and view Corbett as one of the better interior line picks in this class. He played tackle at Nevada and showcased a finisher’s mentality to go along with at least average athleticism. Remember Joel Bitonio? Maybe Corbett is the next.

Round 4 (109): DL BJ Hill, NC State – The Redskins continue to pump picks into the front seven with mixed results. They need to continue to beef up the front three/four. Hill often acted as NC State’s 1-technique and has some upfield ability from that spot.

Round 5 (142): DL Foley Fatukasi, UConn – The Redskins might need even more than one addition up front in terms of down linemen. Fatukasi is one of the best interior disruptors and an above-average athlete. He combines length with flexibility to work around heavy-footed offensive linemen.

Round 5 (163): LB Micah Kiser, Virginia – An above-average athlete, Kiser could compete with Mason Foster either this season or next. Adding linebacker talent to work behind the added defensive linemen is smart.

Round 6 (188): CB Malik Reaves, Villanova – I don’t see corner as a big need like Evan, but I’m counting on Fabian Moreau to step up. Nevertheless, more depth can always be added at a critical spot. Reaves is a zone or press corner with great length.

Round 7 (231): TE Nick Keizer, Grand Valley State – Per Aaron Wilson, the Redskins scheduled a visit with Keizer. That’s enough to believe they will consider him in the later rounds or recruit him as an undrafted free agent.

Redskins Team Need No. 1: Defensive Front Seven

      Silva’s Analysis

The Redskins field a rag-tag group up front, where they finished 29th in Football Outsiders’ run-defense DVOA and return mostly the same guys as last year. OLB Preston Smith hasn’t proved worthy of an assured starting job. On both the edge and interior, Washington’s front seven needs an influx of young talent.

      • For realz. But hey, we re-signed Phil Taylor as a NT. He was really really good the last time he played…in like 2014.

    • Bad Reputation

Redskins Team Need No. 2: Offensive Line

      Silva’s Analysis

Formerly a team strength, Washington’s offensive line collapsed due to injuries down the stretch last season and is now dealing with uncertainty at left guard and to a lesser extent center. LT Trent Williams and RT Morgan Moses have been dogged incessantly by injuries.

Redskins Team Need No. 3: Defensive Back

      Silva’s Analysis

Running back is another need after Samaje Perine showed limitations as a rookie and Chris Thompson broke his leg in November, combining with O-Line injuries to cripple the offense. In the secondary, Washington is thin and largely unproven behind LCB Josh Norman, FS D.J. Swearinger and declining slot CB Orlando Scandrick.

    • The Thomas Rawls-Marshawn Lynch spectrum?

Uhhh. I really hope it’s more on the Marshawn Lynch side of things.

    • Cogent analysis. But without POONA…fail

  • Ross Perot was a polarizing figure in politics, and I certainly didn’t agree with many of his positions, but he had a very interesting take on education.

He proposed that every 1st and 2nd grader be forced to learn another language in public schools. Pick one. The idea wasn’t about about cultural sensitivity. Instead, Perot argued that the brain is most receptive to learning languages at that age, and that learning another language wires the brain for abstract thought. Perot cited that the top 5% of graduates from MIT and other prestigious institutions were Asian Indians, many of whom had to learn multiple languages and dialects just to communicate in their home country.

His point was that if you learn to speak multiple languages at an early age, then you are better prepared to learn programming languages and are more adaptive in adult life.

    • I think that makes sense. I would not make it an issue (requirement) for college admissions, I think that is a huge mistake. For me foreign language, and thus some parts of math and taxonomy, was the most difficult for me to deal with and the only course I got a C in until like Jr year college I got a C+ in engineering statistics. But there again is the issue, to me, the first hurdle in math is that it is a foreign language once you get past arithmetic. the symbology is just like a foreign language, and it’s just as valuable as Latin to be able to understand mathematic language once your reach graduate level STEM curriculum and journal literature. So in ADDITION, I would teach more emphasis on the language of mathematics during that transition period. Because I know they TRIED to do that in frosh HS geometry, but I was too dumb to understand that in it’s importance and thus was never more than a B to A- student (on watered down American math) from HS through college. You don’t need to understand all the theory, but if you can read what it says, you can understand the model logic, and that’s important on a number of levels even if you are not a process modeler.

    • but also, to be fair Asian Indians have that “wood shoe” mentality of competition, and their world in reality is not a zero sum game at any steady state that would encompass their lifetime, and you put them with the silk slipper American or European, they’re going to have a hunger for it that the other isn’t. And also, there’s a lot of confounded variables, so attributing that to multiple languages based on that evidence is spurious at best.

    • Perot was more of a pragmatist than any kind of ideologue, and that idea is 100% correct. people who learn a 2nd language tend to be a lot smarter, and younger kids are better at picking up a language.
I know the pre-school I was in back in the 80’s taught every kid Spanish. But then once I moved on to kindegarden that stopped, and trying to learn a language in high school was much harder.

      • plus, knowing Spanish beyond what it says on the drive thru sign at Taco Bell is useless (with a few notable exceptions that prob indicate your career has not gone the way you planned), the Americans crushed the waning Spanish empire over a century ago; those imperialist pig dogs have been vanquished. If it is a language, why not start with just a base computer language or Chinese– there’s little doubt that, like the 20th Century was the American Century, the 21st is going to be a Chinese one. Or Latin; or really mess with them by teaching them a dead computer language. I think we can utilize the structure of language but not waste the time on a tool that very few of us will use. In general, we just prob need higher standards across the board. I mean, my kid still pees his pants but he can read, and he will be going into Kindergarten NEXT year. My expectation is that I’ll be blown away that not only they don’t teach cursive in ES, they’ll be teaching something in 5th grade that I took in like, high school.

      • Many of my smarter friends growing up were Jewish. In order to get Bar/Bat Mitzvah’d, they went to Hebrew School, and had to learn a foreign language, with a different alphabet, read in the opposite direction.

Same concept. I think being forced to learn another language gives every student a competitive advantage.

What soul? That was crushed when KC threw that game-ending pick that dashed our playoff hopes in 2016.

  • Should young people learn to write cursive, or is that just a relic that is no longer necessary?

It would be tough for any young person to read historic texts, like the Declaration of Independence in its original form.

    And maybe that doesn’t matter.

    • They can google it in print form. But that’s highly unlikely for this generation

    • Aren’t you still required to sign legal documents?

      • A quick squiggle will suffice.

      • Squinnsamania, brother!

        No. Docusign.

        • how is docusign legitimate?

I guess this all comes down to passwords at a few spots. basically the way more and more things are set up, your master database key to your entire life:
the password you have for your primary email. it is, how all the rest of your passwords and IDs are re-set. guard it with your life, because it IS your life.

    • I’m sure it doesn’t matter at all, to most young people.

  • T-Mobile customer service is baffling. And super slow. Slower than Flounder typing with one finger slow.

I hesitate to share this trick that works for me 100 out of 100 times.

When you get the prompts for the actions/department you called in for, go straight to ‘cancel my account’.

Your call will be answered quickly and usually by someone more senior who is bonused to keep you from cancelling.

By the end of my call my issue is resolved and I almost always end up with a free month for keeping my account open and for my trouble.

Book the shit out of that.

      • I’m quick to use retention departments. In this case though…it’s a prepaid line.

      • yeah, it is much harder nowadays to get someone with that empowerment early.

about 6-8 years ago you could call the cable company and they’d match FiOS. Now it’s a guy in an Indian call center and he’ll tell you he doesn’t have that authority.

        • No Punt Intended

Cancellations get escalated and you don’t get Darpinder or Gita on those types of retention calls.

    • Verizon has me baffled as well. They send me an email every month (or several a month) and then when I try to use that email to login, somehow they have no record of my email. Probably to get the most money out of you, having a baffling audio list of all the options and configurations and features makes it difficult to compare prices and packages so they can most easily direct you to the one that is most optimized for them.

      • I’m hating on Verizon anymore. This phone I just got for the SO, I figured to give T-Mobile a go and see how they are.

I’m over Verizon and their damn $20 a month access fee. I told them to ask their CEO how the hell a line access fee makes any damn sense on top of a plan. Because…it just doesn’t.

        • we have T-mobile for mobile; pretty much if you buy your phone and keep it for more than 2 years, the paradigm they reverted the industry back to saves you money. my only problem is that they’ve moved the unlimited price $20 a month, but throw in Netflix. So, I’d be paying $30 a month more for Netflix and YT Music, but I could prob get around that for $10 by buying YT Red.

Visa/MasterCard will be doing away with signing receipts at stores

    Reasons
    1. It doesn’t stop fraud
    2. The signatures are rarely used in court cases
    3. Young people don’t learn cursive and can’t sign their names anymore

  • I would be very happy if a top-rated QB fell to #13. Not so we could draft him, but rather to package a sweet trade for more picks.

    • No Punt Intended

Lamar Jackson may well be there at 13 and trigger a move by a team below us, who is below another team that might also covet the dynamic QB talent.

    • I think that “that” happens before we pick, now. If, for example, you are the Cards, you trade up in front of the Bills and Dolphins, and if you don’t have the firepower or stomach to do it, you let it ride to 15, I think.

TI has a new post out about our inactivity this offseason. It’s not really good insight or journalism. Wonder why that outlet has regressed as far as coverage on the most popular sports team in the area?

  • Quenton Nelson is an absolute beast. Whoever gets this guy should have a dynamic RB as well. Josh Adams was too slow w the vision at times to maximize this dudes attributes.

Dukes had on Lombardi the ex GM on his show yesterday. When asked about the Redskins chances in 2018 he said, we are behind the Eagles and Cowboys as far as talent. He also said Smith was a downgrade at QB, and that he doesn’t like our depth as an organization. He pointed to the 7-9 season. Dukes then responded with the injuries and how a 7-9 finish with that many injuries means to him that they have a chance to be good this year. Lombardi said he doesn’t like how we haven’t gone out and replaced as many players that have left in FA, to address the depth issue and the 8 picks in the draft really isn’t enough, given our history missing on picks. This is prospective from someone outside who used to be a GM. Not sure I 100% agree with him, but he’s got some good points.

    • they’re not behind the Cowboys for talent, but defensive coaching, maybe

      • Bad Reputation

I think we have a good chance to be 10-6, maybe better. If the injuries don’t come as furious as they did last year. Just reporting on what his take was.

        • I don’t think that injuries are a fluke under this staff, I think they are a flaw.

I think there’s some metric out there that Gruden has a very high injury rate looking through the seasons, and you definitely have some coaches, like Chip Kelly who have histories that span college and NFL and in both cases his teams had really low injury rates.

We may not be able to take the next step with Jay as our head coach, sans some major strategy change regarding preparation and practice. Maybe they need to have a super smart S&C coach take over that and go with his own philos rather than the current staffs’?

Only way to prepare oneself to play football, is to, well…play football.

Not riding a stationary bike. Not shorts/shells. Not mental reps.

Playing full-contact football is the only way to ready oneself to play full-contact football.

    • I think I agree with them on just about every Point except why does he consider Alex Smith a downgrade. He’s older is that why? Everything I’ve read on the Washington Post has been glowing about what an upgrade we have acquired over Kirk Cousins.

    • Yea not feeling the downgrade at QB…only if you talking 10 or 15 year plan. Pretty close w the rest.

    • No Punt Intended

Our last QB was a pussy. Our new one is not.

      Not sure that’s a downgrade.

      • Not that he would, but I would like him to elaborate on why he feels it’s a downgrade. He’s older than Kirk Cousins so that’s a negative but other than that what makes him a downgrade?

        • No Punt Intended

The fact that AS actually throws passes that receivers can catch is going to be an upgrade. The fact that AS will give his receivers/playmakers an opportunity to make plays versus trying to make a safe throw, is a huge upgrade. AS’ ability and willingness to extend plays is a big upgrade. AS being able to be effective and score on a short field/in the red zone is a significant upgrade. And the fact that AS does not have the reputation of throwing soul-crushing interceptions in meaningful games is a monumental upgrade.

The Skins got better with Alex Smith and Jay is going to be able to know who his QB is going to be for the next 3 years for the first time since he came here.

The QB position for the Washington Redskins has been stabilized and if that retard Lombardi got that, he’d see the acquisition of Smith as a tremendous upgrade.

  • Barkley may be best RB in the draft but Rodney Anderson was best RB in college… Skins dont get a beast early then draft a G early and go get this guy next year.

  • Watching Rodney Anderson/OU and Bama run rough shod vs UGA…not getting Roquan Smith top LB. Pass. As well Raekwon Davis and Jon Allen > D Payne imo.

A Florida student says she was humiliated when school officials decided her “protruding” nipples were a distraction and asked her to hide them with Band-Aids.

Lizzy Martinez, 17, claimed she was called in to the dean’s office Monday at Branden River High School, where she was told that her lack of a bra was drawing stares from other students, the Bradenton Herald reported.

“She told me that I needed to put a shirt on under my long-sleeve shirt to try to tighten my breasts — to constrict them,” Martinez told the newspaper. “And then she asked me to move around.”

But the second layer wasn’t up to the dean’s satisfaction, Martinez said, and she was directed to the nurse’s office where she was handed Band-Aids to cover each nipple. The teen said the incident made her so uncomfortable that she was brought to tears and left school early.

A topless protester who charged at Bill Cosby as he arrived at his sexual-assault retrial Monday morning has been identified as Nicolle Rochelle, a 39-year-old actress who appeared in four episodes of “The Cosby Show.”

    ====================================

Cosby’s retort was “Yes, I did hit that, back in the day”

    • I loved Bill Cosby when I was a kid. I had all of his albums on cassette. I used to know most of his routines by heart and would do them for people (probably very poorly, I’m sure). Saw him in concert a couple of times. Finding out that he was actually a scumbag was fairly traumatic for me.

Doug def mentioned it. Going back to my earlier post….if the FO thought we were so bad off on the DL they’d have gotten one of those FA’s to sign here by now. Either they are taking Payne/Vea in the draft of they think we are fine.

      • Bad Reputation

Allen Hankins and Payne/Vea would have been the best case scenario. I think they like Allen, Ioniddis, but after that what do we got? Lanier? AJ Francis, your favorite Skin Ziggy Hood…it’s slim pickins there.

if Hankins wants a multiple year deal but we do not want to tie up cap space on a signing bonus

that way no dead cap if he doesn’t work out and he get the $$ he is looking for

Cause if we don’t add a starting caliber DL to play with Allen…..we are asking for trouble if injuries happen again.

  • Bad Reputation

I honestly don’t think the FO thinks the DL is an issue. I personally as a fan would like to see them address the position. But I’ve seen many Tandler posts about how the powers in Ashburn attribute the bad Run D to the injuries on the line. Hence why we haven’t signed any of the guys on the DL we’ve visited with. Gonna be interesting come draft day but in my gut I feel like they are gonna go RB or one of those DBs that slips to us.

    • Hope so.

    • If they didn’t, they wouldn’t have made any offer to Logan last off season or Hankins this year.

They’re just not willing to blow the cap on the contract is all.

This is why they fail: attribut it to injuries EXCEPT you will ALWAYS sustain several major injuries each year. That defense needs a good DL and if one goes down, its all over.

pakistan is the muslim israel. why do we create religious countries?

    • Our approach to Pakistan has been to “keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer”. Unfortunately in the process we’ve somewhat alienated India – the world’s biggest democracy.

    • They make a fine bath towel in Pakistan.

    • “We” didn’t.

  • IMO, our big “miss” in the ME right now is that we are about to stab the Kurds in the back. Israel has the economic quality of life it enjoys because we have subsidized their military for 70 years
otherwise they would be a 3rd world country with a 1st rate military cause that’s where all their GDP would go towards

    • They’re also benefited by letting tech companies come in and do business for free. And of course, utilizing that tech for their own gains.

      • walter_in_fallschurch

all those countries around israel are where modern ideas go to die.

        • Israel is an oasis of civility in a region that is otherwise dedicated to 7th century theocracy. The Palestinian issue is a complex one, and far from perfect, but compared to the message and methodology of the “other side”, the Israelis are doing the best with what they have, IMHO.

    • You can’t say that their borders would be confined to what they are today, they would likely control half of the ME by now, certainly Egypt.

      • And you would be purchasing an EZPass to get through the canal.

      • noonefromtampa

except in the 60’s and 70’s Egypt, Syria and Iraq were all supported by the Soviets

The October War in 1973 had two points at which we almost had global nuclear war

once when the Syrians broke thru the Golan onto the Galilee plain and Israel was going to nuke Damascus if their counter attack failed

and second when they broke the Egyptians lines and cross the Suez Canal and the Soviets threatened to intervene

        • My point is this, they are not a cowardly people, left to their own devices, they would most certainly either conquer, or die. We enjoy having that arm, let’s not pretend that they are state raised.

          • noonefromtampa

The IDF sure proved the NATO combined arms doctrine >>> Soviet combined arms doctrine

a lot of newer Soviet/Russia weapons systems are based on lessons learned from failures in Middle East fighting esp. air defense systems (like S-300 and S-400)

    • The United States benefits greatly from its partnership with Israel in ways that are difficult to publicly measure. The intelligence sharing that we get with Mossad is invaluable as it concerns middle east interests.

But the same criticism can be levied toward a number of European countries who have benefited from the security blanket of the US military (against Russia), which has allowed them to direct their public spending on lavish housing, medical and work-leave benefits for their citizens.

I’m more comfortable with our arrangement with Israel than I am with European countries who thumb their noses at US military policy, while living comfortably under the blanket of our protection.

      • Benefits greatly? I don’t know about all that. Whole lotta money goes their way for not much information sharing our way. We tend to already know most of what’s happening as we, you know, have the entire planet bugged.

The relationship is decidedly one sided. As far as global politics are concerned, Israel is a millstone around our necks.

        • Agree to disagree. As I said, it is difficult to measure publicly since we are talking in the currency of intelligence, but I have reason to say what I say; and I’ll leave it there.

          • Leave it there? Leave it there? You can’t drop Mossad’s name into a chat and just, leave it there.

One thing I did notice when looking at his numbers after the show last night. He mad some progress from his rookie year to his 2nd year, nearly 10% improvement in comp %, got down close to a 1:1 TD:Int ratio. Still has a long way to go to being a capable NFL player.

New York State Police investigators were trying to determine Monday why a driver slammed his charter bus, packed with students returning from spring break, into a bridge overpass on Long Island, injuring dozens of teens, chaperones and the driver.

The bus, operated by Journey Bus Line, was traveling from John F. Kennedy International Airport along the Southern State Parkway on Sunday night when the top of the bus apparently was ripped off by the overpass, photos from the scene indicated.

Maj. David Candelaria, spokesman for the state police, said most commercial vehicles are banned from the parkway, adding bridges are too low to accommodate buses.

“I don’t think he (the driver) had any awareness,” Candelaria said. “If you look at the damage, it was a high-impact strike.

From Kevin Clark of the Ringer:

“Manning essentially ran his own practices for the bulk of his career. His former teammate, tight end Marcus Pollard, said the lines were blurred between whether Manning was a player or coach during his Colts tenure. On one team flight, Manning’s former offensive coordinator, Clyde Christensen, wanted to put off game planning so he could go to sleep. Instead, Manning sent a stewardess to tell Christensen that he couldn’t sleep and had to watch tape now.”

Back when my wife worked for the Nats, the worst stories were Phillies fans. (not a shock I know)
She sold tickets and 1 Philly fan purposefully poured beer in the base slot of the ticket window after she told him that you can’t drink outside the stadium.
2nd story from the same day, a friend of ours was at the game and she had Phillies fan’s doing lines of coke while sitting in the stands

that florida high-school mass murderer is getting FAN MAIL in jail. WTF is wrong with us?!?!

    • Charlie Manson married a woman after he was in jail
There’s no shortage of twisted dumb MFers out there.

    • People are sending him commissary money, also, per Noone’s post yesterday.

    Rd5 Pk 26 Eq St.Brown. ND. WR

I was able to pick Jon Allen 1 time in all my mocks last year. Couldnt pass on Baker…multiple playoffs/SB QB. No way he makes it to 13 tho. Browns pick him w 1st pick. 99% sure.

    • PJ Hall is great.

      • I’m not that familiar w him. Moreso going on scouts and word of mouth. Lotta massive stats vs albeit lesser competition. So prob something there

    • walter_in_fallschurch

i would not like to take a QB at 1, and i would be disappointed if it took til the 3rd to take a DL. (though i do like the va tech heavy aspect of your draft.)

Southern Cal running back Ronald Jones will visit the Redskins on Monday, per source. Redskins president Bruce Allen attended a makeup pro day for Jones Thursday. Allen also had dinner with LSU running back Derrius Guice the night before his pro day…. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-40019012-4

  • Ok, a mock draft to chew on and then I’m off to the office.

1: R1P13 RB DERRIUS GUICE LSU
    2: R2P12 C BILLY PRICE OHIO ST.
3: R4P9 DL NATHAN SHEPHERD FORT HAYS STATE
4: R5P5 WR CHRISTIAN KIRK TEXAS A&M (how is he there in round 4?)
5: R5P26 LB SHAQUEM GRIFFIN UCF
6: R6P31 RB BO SCARBROUGH ALABAMA
7: R7P13 CB KEVIN TOLIVER II LSU
    8: R7P23 S SEAN CHANDLER TEMPLE

  • It is odd to me how some wish nothing but good luck to former Redskins as they move on to other teams but Kirk seems to get a lot of vitriol. By all accounts he was a good face of the organization if you will. He didn’t commit any crimes didn’t beat his wife didn’t get caught with drugs. I mean I just don’t get it!

So are we keeping 3 QBs on the roster this year?

    • I think they would be smart to. You can keep Hogan deactivated on game days. Better than having another sudfeld situation.

  • Weird thought I just had.
Kevin Hogan should change from #8 to something else when with the skins. Feel like we’ve got a bad taste in the collective mouth from QB’s wearing #8. Maybe go with 2 or 6?
