Redskins reportedly agree to terms with WR Paul Richardson

As first reported by the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Redskins have reportedly agreed to terms with former Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson:

Richardson, who stands 6’0″ and weighs 183 pounds, was drafted out of the University of Colorado by Seattle in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft.  He has elite top-end speed and was timed at 4.40 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the 2014 NFL Combine, but has been timed as low as 4.28 seconds.

In his 4 year career, Richardson has played 47 games, starting 19, and has 95 receptions on 161 targets for 1,302 yards and 13.7 yards per reception, with 8 touchdowns.  2017 was his best year, with 44 receptions on 80 targets for 703 yards and 16.0 yards per carry.

Richardson has suffered one major injury in his pro career, a torn ACL in the Seahawks’ 2014 playoff game against the Panthers which caused him to miss all but one game of the 2015 season.

He would join a receiver corps that  includes starters Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder, plus Maurice Harris and second year player Robert Davis.

Richardson cannot sign his contract until Wednesday, March 14, when the 2018 league year begins.  The Hog Sty will have more details as they arise.
