Dan Quinn says Tim Settle and Rachaad White should be back on the field today. Seems like Nick Allegretti is not back pic.twitter.com/ahFyqzy9E8

Jayden Daniels worked with both Matt Gulbin and Julian Good-Jones at center today. Would be good to see Gulbin get good reps vs the Ravens’ starters in the joint practice. See what he can do.

Dan Quinn says he feels “comfortable system wise” with Julian Good-Jones and Matt Gulbin making protection calls. “With Nick being injured we will work him back in when we can.”
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 24, 2026
Laremy Tunsil, who is recovering from triceps surgery, sent over food trucks for the Commanders today. He did it last year too.

Day 21 – Tuesday, August 25th
Official last day of training camp
Quinn said S Quan Martin has had a really good camp. “Felt an intensity and urgency about him.” Also likes his play on special teams.

Commanders planned to have Brandon Coleman participate in only the individual period today. Not injury related. More to keep him fresh since starters will get a lot of work tomorrow in Baltimore.

To keep in mind about the offense today: As mentioned earlier, Cosmi was out. Jayden Daniels played with a front five that featured a lot of Matt Gulbin at center, some of Julian Good-Jones at center, and mostly Good-Jones and Tanoa Togiai at right guard. https://t.co/CYPhaGaGoj

Jayden ended the day with a beauty to Antonio Williams. Threw it off his back foot right before absorbing would-be sacks.

On offense: Some issues with snaps; a false start; one explosive (to McLaurin); run game struggled. Just a rough showing — Brandon Coleman said the OL has to be the ones to push it and it was "up and down."
Baltimore has an excellent D. Has given its own O fits this summer.— John Keim (@john_keim) August 26, 2026

Day 23 – Thursday, August 27th
No practice, game walkthrough
Injuries
No injuries reported.
Day 24 – Friday, August 28th
Preseason game in Baltimore against the Ravens.
Quinn has preached competition since the spring. These are backups and players who will be cut. But it has been non-competitive from the jump. Baltimore using the same level of players. Last two weeks have not been the finest for Washington.

Dan Quinn said tonight simply “was not good enough…. It wasn’t up to our standards.”

Not the best opening drive by either side for Washington. D gave up an eight-play scoring drive, capped by a 25-yard TD by former Commander Chris Moore, then rookie RB Kaytron Allen fumbled on Washington's first offensive snap.

Notes
The only positive thing I saw about the blowout loss to the Ravens was the special teams punt coverage unit looked good. Maybe that will come in handy if the team plays this poorly in the regular season.
The Washington backups looked woefully inadequate against the Baltimore backups. The lack of effort, poor tackling and blocking just showcased the differences between the two organizations.
The fans are left to puzzle going into week 1 was it poor preparation or lack of roster talent. Plus, how will this affect the team going into a tough game in Philadelphia against the Eagles.
