The second week of training camp is in the books. Here is a brief recap of the week 2 highlights and notes on players who stood out:
Roster Moves
- Waived CB Fentrell Cypress II with injury designation, reverted to Injured Reserve
- OL Nate Herbig to Reserve/Retired List
- Signed OL Lucas Niang
- Activated Tim McKay to roster from Non-Football Injury List
- TE Tyree Jackson to Injured Reserved List
- Signed WR Braylon Sanders
McLaurin has now asked to be traded. According to sources the two sides appear to still be far apart in per-year salary, total guarantees and length of contract. Curiously on Saturday, McLaurin walked around after practice, shaking hands with everyone, including owner Josh Harris, being very cordial.

McCaffrey is one of the second-year players that coaches have singled out for making great strides in their development from their rookie year. He is competing to be the fourth wide receiver against veterans Chris Moore, K.J. Osborn, and Michael Strachan.

What is there to say? He keeps making plays, every practice. He is developing into the kind of player that can make a secondary unit special.

Jaylin Lane
The rookie from Virginia Tech, who will likely be the starting punt returner, has been turning heads also during his reps at wide receiver. Lane made a pretty spectacular catch in practice on a great throw by Jayden Daniels:

Miscellaneous
Kain Medrano has gotten some reps with the first and second team units. He has shown off the speed he was drafted for with tackles for losses, pass breakups and even an interception in one practice. To make the roster, he needs to show he can be a core special teams player.
Hartman a ghadreat throw and Strachan a great catch during drills, and Jayden Daniels celebrated it:
