Game Summary

First Quarter

The Washington Football team opened the game on offense, starting with a 9 play drive that only netted 17 yards. The Ravens then had an 8 play, 32 yard drive which was stopped after the WFT defense held on a 3 and 12, allowing only 5 yards on a Lamar Jackson draw. On the next series, J.D. McKissic fumbled, giving the Ravens a short field, which Baltimore converted into a touchdown. The key play was a 33 yard pass from Jackson to Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. WFT responded with a 3 and out series that resulting in a Tress Way 51 yard punt.

On the next series, the WFT defense thought they  stopped the Ravens on 4th and 9, but the Ravens executed a fake, in which the punter, Sam Koch, completed a pass to Miles Boykin for 15 yards, converting for a first down. That led to an 8 play, 75 yard drive that culminated in a 25 yard touchdown pass to TE Mark Andrews. On the next series, Haskins was sacked for a 13 yard loss which put the WFT in a 3 and 20 situation. WFT ran for 5 yards on third down, then punted. The Ravens tried to move into field goal range, but Jackson was intercepted by Kendall Fuller at the Ravens 38 yard line. WFT converted that turnover into a 43 yard field goal by Hopkins.
